What is the difference between certified public accountants (CPAs) and accountants?
A CPA has demonstrated professional competence by passing a rigorous examination and meeting high standards of education. In addition, they must meet strict continuing education requirements, and adhere to a stringent set of ethical standards.

Who will prepare my return? Will it be you or someone else in your office?
Our firm operates on a tiered team based approach. The person you interact with will likely be part of the team that will be working on your return. We operate in a way to be efficient and cost effective to deliver you an accurate tax return and accounting services. All work is reviewed for quality and completeness before delivering to the client.

How much does tax preparation cost?
Our fees are based on the volume and complexity of each client. We bill based on the value provided in conjunction with time spent at regular billing rates. Our rates can range from $85-$225 per hour, depending on the staff involved. Tax returns will be billed when completed. Additional engagements will be billed monthly.

Do you offer an initial tax preparation consultation?
Yes, we offer a free initial consultation which allows both of us a chance to determine if our services are a good fit for your situation.

What happens if I get a notification about my return?
It is very common to receive notifications in the mail from the IRS requesting information or notifying you of changes. It is important to address the notices in a timely manner. Please contact the office or send us a copy of your notice immediately. We can provide you guidance and help you decide if you would like to address the notice or have the firm address the notice. Any time spent addressing notifications on your behalf will be billed at our normal billing rate.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The IRS or other tax authorities will send correspondence to you through the mail. Never give your information over the phone or internet!
